The Menopause Awards 2026 lit up the evening of February 6th with an unforgettable celebration of innovation in women’s health, following the hugely successful Menopause in Practice conference earlier that day. Hosted in a dazzling Great Gatsby–themed setting, the event brought together leading clinicians, brands and advocates for a night of recognition.
Future Patient’s editorial board chair, Dr Mayoni Gooneratne, took home the awards for Menopause Specialist (Doctor) of the Year and Functional Medicine and Longevity Clinic of the Year.
Celebrating outstanding achievements
One of the most celebrated highlights of the night was the presentation of the Outstanding Achiever of the Year Award, proudly awarded to Dr Itunu Johnson-Sogbetun.
A highly experienced UK-based portfolio GP, Dr Itunu is recognised for her holistic, bio‑psycho‑social approach to care and her dedication to advancing women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, and menopause support.
Her award reflects a career defined by excellence, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to improving women’s health outcomes. We are excited to follow her next steps and the meaningful contributions we know she will continue to bring to women’s health.
Dr Itunu Johnson-Sogbetun said, “Thank you for trusting me with your stories and your health. This recognition strengthens my resolve to continue advocating, educating, and building spaces where women feel empowered and supported.
